Close Your Eyes...

And pretend that its Friday. Because that's
when I was supposed to post this.
New writer here: CommesDesGarcon for Fierce Friday.
I'll be posting my crazy makeup ideas here, along with anything
else I think you divas might enjoy.
I'm no amazingly awesome makeup artist like the other 2 girls, but I'm
pretty good at doing my dolls makeup and I have a few wild ideas
you might enjoy that are just too fierce not to share:

Green with Envy
Here I used 3 shades of shadow to create this plethora of green. After applying the normal shades, I used the "LUXE" brand eyeshadow to add a sparkle to all of the colors.
A dark green lip with a little gloss and a few streaks of green highlights top off this look.
No blush is needed as this look is already overly embellished. Don't be afraid to go out of the lines and don't be bland, USE COLOR.

Fly girl And to think, this is one of my softer, more conservative looks.
Mix and match colorful eyeliners and hair highlights to create a fun look.
Whether its your medoll or your actual face, loud lipclolor is usually overkill
when your eyeshadow is this bright, so I used a neutral orange to match the dolls skin tone
instead of a loud pink. Large lashes on the bottom create that "babydoll" look. Lighter toned eyebrows soften the face, so here I used brown instead of a harsher black.

Black Widow Fierce This doll obviously does not play any games.
A lot of people don't know this but I love gothic style.
Especially 18th century style goth, which is what influenced the hair.
The black hearts on the cheeks and pointy bang and bow make this look appear very Gothic Lolita. Lolita is the evil cousin of Harajuku. I love both styles and cannot get enough of them. Red stained lips, ghostly white porcelain skin and black eyeshadow complete this look.
Try different lashes to get that extreme eye. The thin eyebrows accentuate the strong browline to give her that sinister look.

Winter Faerie
This look is strictly for the runway. Definitely not something you'd wear to senior prom.
All white everything.
Here I used one of my favorite newest items from
SD shop (Sunny Bunny) the white contact lenses.
They have them in several colors and I wear them every chance I get.
A white eyeliner with a small amount of white eyeshadow and a white lip with gloss is used to create this eerily wintry look. Adjusting the eyebrow color all the way to 0% gives the illusion of no eyebrows at all.
Turn the blush all the way up to white to create the pale cheeked look.
Decorate with silver and white jewelry.
****

Extras:
I found the cutest thing ever today:
Hello Kitty Eyeshadow.
I almost died.
Smeared Lipstick... so odd, yet I'm mysteriously drawn to it.
The white wig really adds to the drama of this look. Ive actually seen a few Medolls with it.
So cool.

Next Fierce Friday:

The makeup of Scene Queen Raquel Reed. One of my favorite people.
And there you have it dolls,
Just a few wild looks you can try if you get bored around the house, want to scare some friends,
or maybe for a haute photo shoot? The possibilities are endless.
If you try any of the looks I post on yourself email me a photo and maybe I will feature you in one of my posts.
See you on Friday.

Happy Painting,

Cheap Thrills: Wet n' Wild Deadly Sins eyeshadow palettes

I'm a big fan of drugstore make-up, I love brands like Maybelline, Cover Girl, and lately even Wet n' Wild! I had avoided it for a long time because a few things I had tried had been cheap not just in price but also in quality, but lately they've really been stepping up the quality of their products. My recent favorite has been their deadly sins eyeshadow palettes. There are four, and they're named after the sins Greed, Pride, Lust, and Vanity. The quality of these eyeshadows is comparable to MAC and Nars shadows, in fact I found a few color dupes for both high-end brands in my Wet n' Wild Lust palette:

Lust
Top Left Shadow Dupe = MAC's Yogurt
2nd Left Shadow Dupe = MAC's Fig. 1, Nars "Electric Aubergine" from the Eurydice eyeshadow duo
3rd Left Shadow Dupe = MAC's Blackberry

Top Right Shadow Dupe = MAC's Vanilla
2nd Right Shadow Dupe = MAC's Silvering, Nars "Graphite" from the Eurydice eyeshadow duo
3rd Right Shadow Dupe = MAC's Beauty Marked (this one is similar, but Beauty Marked is definitely more pigmented and the glitter is a lot more noticable in it once swatched)

All of these, with the exception of the one that resembles Beauty Marked, are practically identical to the more expensive version. In fact, the one that resembles Blackberry is actually smoother and easier to blend than Blackberry is.

MAC eyeshadows are $14.50 each, and the NARS eyeshadow duos are $33.00 each ($23.00 for the single eyeshadows). I got these Wet n' Wild eyeshadow palettes for $3.99 each on sale at Target! That's 4 bucks for six high quality eyeshadows, less than a third of the cost of ONE single MAC or NARS shadow! Not on sale they're about 5 or 6 dollars each, depending on where you get them, which is still a crazypants bargain. If you're just starting out with make-up, and you don't have a lot of money to spend, these are the best palettes you can get. I want all four, right now I'm missing Greed =/. Let me know if you want me to post dupes for Pride or Vanity!

What drugstore beauty product do you think is actually better than the more expensive brands'?

Top 3 blushes!

Hi girls, so I wanted to do a really quick post on blushes! I think blush can change a whole look of your makeup, blushes define your face and really finish off your makeup! I think they are so important and we shouldn't forget about them! I just wanna share one tip...
~ People who have a slim face should wear blush focusing on the apples of their cheeks, and people with full faces should concentrate it under the cheekbones. These give different effects to the different faces!

Apple of the cheeks  ~  Underneath the cheekbones
(im not very good at putting it on the apples lol)

NARS's blush in Orgasm is the most gorgeous blush ever! I love it, it does contain shimmer.. well alot of shimmer! But if you use it correctly it can look super gorgeous! I think this would only work on people who are young, once you are not so much in your teens, it can look too sparkly and cheap, but depending on how you use it, its great!

     Powder Blush

MAC's blush in Pinch Me, is my favorite blush of all time! Its so soft (like most MAC blushes) and it looks so natural, its very matte (no shimmer or sheen) and looks perfect on most skin tones! The name is so cute, because before blushes girls use to pinch their cheeks, so I guess its meant to look as natural as a pinch! :)

Maybelline's Dream Mousse Blush in Peach Satin, is really great if you don't want to look to powdery I know when I wear powder foundation it call all look too cakey, so using a cream (mouse) blush is really great for those natural looks. Its pretty cheap too.

Comment below! Its so easy, and it makes my day! :)

Wearable Wednesday - Frosty Eyeshadow Inspired by Prada!

    Mascara Monday: Maybelline Define-A-Lash Volume

This is the first of a segment I'm going to start doing on Mondays (not every Monday) reviewing new mascaras I try out (since you all know mascara is like crack to me). Today I'm starting off with a cheap alternative to Lancome's Hypnôse. I listed its waterproof version in my mascara favorites post, and someone suggested I try Maybelline's Define-A-Lash Volume, so I did and I have to say I really liked it. It has that rubber applicator wand that has become so popular in the last few years, which in general I don't really care for, but the waterproof formula is good and it's 1/3 of the price of Hypnôse.

PROS: One of the pros of a rubber applicator is that they almost completely eliminate clumping, making your eyelashes look more natural. And since I would only wear this at the beach, a more natural lash is perfect.

CONS: Don't get this thinking you're going to get the lash drama of most voluminizing mascaras. Although it's called "Define-A-Lash Volume", I found it didn't make my lashes thicker at all. If anything, it actually made them look longer instead, so maybe I'll get some volume from Define-A-Lash Length? Weird.

How do you feel about rubber mascara applicators VS. traditional applicators?

    Foundation - finding your color!

    https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGVhJKOXd-D4RpyMZ90Mf0Th3LpYUP7Utv4dkp1RmWw2GjN9sXRHFDBKfeN25gHRp6i9rYgjTqr8VBfhhWvmBBeNWpG0Ee5MItpnufibRvFMl525jTLrnYAQdKlb0pAnF1_jXZxM8vzdyL/s1600/banner.png
Hi girls! So I wanted to make a quick ramble on foundation, because I hate seeing those girls who look like one of those dancing men from williwonker, you know.. with the orange faces? It really is not that hard to match yourself with foundation, so please don't be one of those teenagers that look like a pumpkin - bad bad bad.

So, are you warm, or are you cool or both(?)

    1. A pale, rosy, ebony, or dark-red cast to skin usually indicates that you have a cool tone.
    2. yellow, golden, and honey tones usually lend themselves to a warm undertone.
    3. If you have a blend of both, or are more olive toned, then you have a neutral undertone to your skin.
Still having trouble deciding what your tone is? Then take a look at your eye color. If you have blue or green eyes, then there's a good chance you have a cool tone to your skin. Do you have warm brown eyes, or hazel? Then it's more likely you have a warm tone.

    ~Finding your color foundation~
You are never going to find your exact color, but that is a positive because why would you put the exsact same 'skin' on the skin you are trying to cover up, right? yeah, so look for a foundation that is very similar to your skin tone, you want it to blend and look natural, you dont want to look like anyone of Jersy shore *cough* Snookie.
Always test your foundation before applying, make sure you purchase or try a sample before buying! When you do try it, try it on your chest area, you want your face to be the same color as your neck and chest right? Cuz' if you have a fake tan, you want your foundation to match your tan, right?
I hope this post kinda help you, its just short but its everything I know about foundation! Always make sure you find something that isint too oily/dry for your skin, find something perfect and if it isint, try something else, there is no harm in that. :)

    My top 5 lip colors!

    https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGVhJKOXd-D4RpyMZ90Mf0Th3LpYUP7Utv4dkp1RmWw2GjN9sXRHFDBKfeN25gHRp6i9rYgjTqr8VBfhhWvmBBeNWpG0Ee5MItpnufibRvFMl525jTLrnYAQdKlb0pAnF1_jXZxM8vzdyL/s1600/banner.png
Each time I visit someones suite, they have that really nude lipstick from 'DOT'. Everyone wears it all the time. Its so boring it looks so dead, dull and pointless. Add some color into your life with some fun fantastic lipsticks. Mix and match your lip color and have fun!

Fresh Coral Corals look really gorgeous with a tan, or without a tan! I Think everyone should at least try a coral, I use to be so scared of them, but now I cant get enough!!

    Bubblegum Pink
Bubble gum pink is my favorite pink ever, they look great on anyone. It gives a classy but 'barbie girl' look to anyone's lips! I defiantly think Bubblegum pink is my favorite color of all time!

    Peachy Pout!
Want some color but wanna stay natural looking? Peach is the best color for fair skin tones. Its so beautiful, and you could add some gloss to give your lips some definition.

    Purple Berry!
Do you live in Australia? Yeah, our next season is winter... Cant find an original lipstick? Purple! You must think I am crazy but trust me, purple lipstick is the most beautiful look ever! I think this would look really beautiful with someone who has dark skin tones, try it out!

    Cherry Chomper!
If I didn't include red lipstick, what type of lipstick article would this be? I would really recommend every girl buy a red lipstick, red is such a classy color and looks really beautiful on every skin tone and skin type! My Favorite: MACs lipstick in Lady Bug

What is your favorite lipstick color?

My #1 Beauty Must Have: Mascara

Chloe asked us, "If you could only have 1 eye product what would it be?" and mine is definitely mascara! On days where I don't wear any make-up at all, I will always put a little mascara on, so if I could only have one beauty product in general it would definitely be my pick. These are my favorite mascaras:

    Volume:
My #1  favorite mascara in the world is definitely MAC's Opulash. It was released last year, and recently released in several different colors with MAC's Wonder Woman collection. In the past I've never been impressed with MAC mascaras and always preferred drugstore brands (Maybelline is my favorite), but Opulash definitely lives up to the hype and in my opinion is worth the price. I only need two coats to get the volume I want, and it thickens without that horrible Tammy Faye Baker spider-lash look. The brush is huge though, so I can see how it could be difficult to work with for inexperienced make-up wearers.

Maybelline's Colossal Volum' Express is a cheaper alternative to Opulash, and the brush isn't as crazy. I can get almost the same effect from both mascaras, but I have to apply about a lot more coats of Colossal and it's annoying having to go over your lashes over and over again. But if you're not into the crazy thick lash look like I am, you'll absolutely love this. The tip of the wand is narrow enough to get the lashes on the inner and outer corners of your eyes without risking stabbing yourself in the eyeball, which is not the case with Opulash.

    Length:
My eyelashes are naturally pretty long, so it's hard for me to tell if lengthening mascara is making a huge difference or not, but Maybelline's Lash Stiletto is definitely the exception. I'll usually put Opulash or Colossal Volum' on first and then go over it with Lash Stiletto to get volume & length, something which is almost impossible to achieve without two different mascaras.

    Waterproof:

I am so mascara-crazy that I wear it even when I go to the beach, and the only waterproof one I'll use is Lancome's Hypnôse. All the others I've tried have either dried to a matte grey color instead of staying a nice glossy black, flaked throughout the day leaving flecks of dried mascara on my cheeks, or been a complete pain in the ass to take off at the end of the day. I'd end up scrubbing my eyes with remover (NOT good to do) or plucking it off (along with a few eyelashes) with my fingernails. Hypnôse wears just as beautifully as its non-waterproof version, doesn't flake at all, and is a breeze to take off. It's expensive ($25.00) but since I go to the beach a lot back home, and like I said I've never been able to find another one that I like, it's worth the price to me.

    So, what's your favorite mascara?

    (Welcome) Makeup Starter kit!

Hi, and welcome to Toxxic Perez Beauty! For my first post I thought a makeup starter kit would be really awesome, because there is no point me starting tutorials when you don't know the basics, but if you know the basics already, there will be plenty more posts to come!

Im going to talk about 4 must haves for your eye makeup collection, I didint want this post to be too long so I thought I would start off with eyes, since that's my favorite to talk about!

Primers: A primer acts as a base that keeps your eyeshadow separated from your eyelid, it helps your eyeshadow to be more vibrant, stay longer and prevent creasing! Some of my favorite primers:

Urban Decay Primer Potion ~ Toofaced shadow insurance

Eyeshadow! Of course this is going to be important, but if you are just starting out with makeup, you may not know the best deals round', so I would defiantly recommend getting a Coastal Scents pallet, they are highly pigmented and great prices! Some of my favorite Pallets:
Brushes are probably the most important part of makeup, if you have good quality brushes your makeup application is going to be so much more professional looking, kill those sponge tip applicators -.-
Sigma professional brush role ~ Elf brushes ~ Eco Tools

    Mascara
I only have 3 words to say to you, Maybelline Great Lash, the cheapest and the best!
(most Makeup artists use this for fashion shows...)

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Question: If you could only have 1 eye product what would it be?
